ESSENTIAL READING (THAT DOESN'T EXIST)

I'm sure The Believer has been doing this for a while, but these Short Takes on Books That Don't Exist are enjoyable. The sentences are great. Take this one, for instance, from a non-existent book called Fontenoy:

"Through his self-published newsletter, he’s taken up unlikely causes and faded reputations: sticking up for the duc du Noailles, debunking the myth of Cyrus Trapaud, and generally upsetting academic applecarts."

The graphics really melted my cheese, as it were. It looks like the designers had oodles of fun.
