I can't help but relate to John Mayer's process. He's working on his new recording and documenting via Twitter, YouTube (he should really go Vimeo), and his site. He's narrating the binges and purges of creating: the long hallways and the train rides, the meals and drinks, the walls and windows. This video particularly nails down the randomness of inspiration. Such exactitude!
